When you start your first web page the system recommends to start the first post about yourself. I think they do that because the assume that would be an easy start. Personally I think that is about the hardest post you can create, because the person I know the least is myself. Don’t get me a wrong I have a picture of myself in my head, but I am not sure it represents what is real. Definitely it looks better than I really do.

What I mean is, that when you think about yourself you often see the person you would like to be not necessarly the person you are and definitely not the person others see. So how I can describe myself for you so you understand who I am?

Even the basics are already different for each of us based on our various own reference points. For example I would describe myself as a typical middle class person. In my world this means, I have two kids an office job and between my spouse and myself we earn enough money to fill the fridge and go on holidays twice a year. Now for a big part of the world’s population this might look like a life of luxury and lashivness, in contrary for a small portion of the world this might be point they have long passed on their journey to wealth and success.

So maybe it is better to explain why I am doing this, why I create another website – a blog, when there are already a gazillion out there. I am doing it for me or better for my kids. My kids have reached an age, at which they actually start using the internet. I mean more than watching clips for children on Youtube. So I decided, I have to learn it as well. Maybe a blog is not the best place to start. Maybe I should have started on Instagram or on Tiktok or Twitsch or something else more trendy than a simple webpage. But I wanted to start at the very root of social media. The simple blog about my life, my thoughts and nothing else.

That doesn’t mean I won’t do the rest, no the plan for this year is also to create at least one Youtube clip and potentialy something on Instagram, even though so far I have no clue how to do either of them.

The good thing about doing it just for myself is, that I am not bothered about the amount of readers, I know that this page is just a tiny drop in the ocean and therefore I will be surprised if it will be read by anyone at all. But that also allows me to play around with it as much as I want.
